How To

How to make a perfect eggroll

Omelets is one of my favourite breakfast foods. How do you make them perfect? Many different recipes and methods have failed to work for me. I have some tips and tricks to help you make delicious, fluffy omelets every single morning.

We should first know that eggs are very temperamental ingredients when making omelets. It is important that eggs are fresh from an organic market and kept cool until used. If they are not kept cold enough, the whites won’t form properly. The yolks will also break down too quickly and become runny. This can make your omelets look bizarrely colored. If you're going to cook them immediately, it is best if the eggs are still warm.

Another tip is to separate your egg before adding it into the pan. The yolk and white should not be mixed together as this can cause the omelet's curdle.

You might burn the bottom of the egg if you place the egg directly on the stovetop. This could ruin the texture of your omelet. Instead, heat the egg for 10 seconds in the microwave before placing it in the pan. The microwave heat cooks your egg just right, without it becoming too soft.

Let's now talk about mixing eggs. When you mix eggs together, you want to beat them well. Turn the bowl upside down and grab the whisk to do this. Then shake the bowl vigorously. By doing this, the egg is thoroughly mixed with the air in the bowl.

Now comes the fun part - pouring the milk into the mixture. Mix half of the milk with the eggs. Then fold the eggs in half into the remaining milk. If you still see streaks of eggs, don't worry. These streaks will disappear once the omelet has been turned over.

After folding the eggs, place the pan on medium heat and wait for the oil to start sizzling. Once the oil starts getting hot, add 1/4 cup of butter to the pan and swirl it around to coat the entire surface of the pan. The lid should be carefully opened. Sprinkle salt in the pan. A pinch of salt will help prevent the omelet from sticking to the pan.

Cover the pan once you have formed the omelet. Wait for the top to set. Flip the omelet upside down or with a spatula. Cook the other half for another minute. Remove the omelet from the pan and serve immediately.

This recipe works best when you use whole milk.
